I’ve had romance on the brain all weekend. Not just because I write romances, though; my brother got married this weekend, in a beautiful and perfectly romantic ceremony. The venue: a botanical garden full of a riot of flowers from all over the world. The setting: a gazebo in the middle of a lake full of huge, brightly-colored koi. The vows: written by the couple, both touching and humorous. The groom cried. The officiant cried. The bridal party (both sides) cried. There was so much joy and love, and I totally got overwhelmed simply knowing how many people are surrounding the new couple, cheering them on… well, the whole thing was like something out of story.
What? I’m a professional hopeless romantic, aren’t I?
